About

The European Mediterranean Disaster Information Network (EU-MEDIN) is an initiative of DG Research that will foster co-ordinated and increased access to data and expert know-how before, during, and after a disaster strikes. The availability of reliable and timely information could contribute to our knowledge for reducing impacts of hazards and risks and bring about improved disaster preparedness in Europe in the near future.

The EU-MEDIN web portal has been originally launched by ALGOSYSTEMS S.A. in the frame of the Accompanying Measure Project entitled EU-MEDIN Networking European Research on Natural Hazards, which was supported financially by the E.C./DG Research with the Contract No: EVG1-CT-2002-60003.
Pangaiasys Ltd is responsible for elaborating improvements and for maintaining the content of the EU-MEDIN web portal as well as for updating the data bases of the EU-MEDIN.
The current design of the EU-MEDIN web portal has been implemented by Data Concept SA, which supports Pangaiasys Ltd in the maintenance and administration of the website.
